PBA works across seven interconnected sectors to address both the causes and consequences of conflict and vulnerability in Sudan.
Raising awareness and training on peace building, conflict resolution, negotiation, conflict mitigation and transformation, trauma healing, reconciliation, coexistence, Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) and non-violent communication.
Saving access to and improving educational services: construction and rehabilitation of classrooms and WASH facilities, capacity building for PTAs and teachers, and recreational and peace-education activities through child clubs at basic schools.
Protecting affected populations, with emphasis on vulnerable children and Extremely Vulnerable Individuals in conflict-affected areas — family tracing and reunification, psychosocial support, cash assistance, Child Friendly Spaces, women's empowerment and GBV response.
Equipping people with life skills and increasing income through vocational and technical training — handcraft, food processing, Stabilised Soil Block production, revolving funds, income-generating activities and animal vaccination.
Construction of water yards, latrines and water points, alongside hand-washing and hygiene-promotion campaigns in underserved and war-affected communities.
Community mobilisation and participation, organisational management, managerial skills, proposal writing, report writing, project cycle management, and monitoring & evaluation for community-based organisations.
Voter education, election observation, democracy promotion and good governance initiatives supporting Sudan's civic and democratic transformation.
Your support helps us reach displaced families, vulnerable children and communities working to rebuild their lives across Sudan and East Africa.
